"He lost 12 or 13 pounds after surgery, gained a few back," Finchem said. "He looks kind of thin." Woods and Finchem were at Congressional Country Club to speak with the members about the club hosting the AT&T National for six years after the 2012 U.S.
McLachlin becomes 2nd straight first-time winner

McLachlin, in his second season on the PGA Tour, recovered from trouble time after time to card 14 pars, three bogeys and a birdie on the 18th to finish the tourney at 18-under 270. The 29-year-old tied the course record with a 10-under 62 on Friday and set a 54-hole record at 20-under at the 7,472-yard Montreux Golf & Country Club near Lake Tahoe.
Wie misses cut at Reno with second round 80

Wie was 1-over-par 73 Thursday as she attempted to become the first woman since Babe Zaharias to make the cut on the PGA Tour. But a quintuple-bogey 9 Friday helped push her to 9-over 153 at the par-72 Montreux Golf & Country Club.
Romero survives brutal Broadmoor to win Open

Romero finished at 6-under 274 for the tournament, beating Fred Funk (75) by four strokes. Funk, who began the day two strokes back, saw his bid to become the fifth straight come-from-behind winner with a triple-bogey on the 13th hole. Mark McNulty (68) took third and Greg Norman (70) finished fourth.
Vijay overcomes shaky putter to win first WGC

Singh won his first World Golf Championship and ended an 0-for-34 drought on the PGA Tour that dated to the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March 2007, his longest stretch without winning in six years. But he had to work harder than he wanted.
